The Bridge
Relationships Matter
Our teenagers are a diverse group that come from all over the Central Arkansas area to be together on Sundays, Wednesdays and other times throughout the week. Together they represent more than 10 middle schools and high schools in the area, and yet when they meet up with one another, they’re a group that loves each other and looks out for one another. Our youth love to have fun together, sing together, learn together, pray together, and grow spiritually together.
We offer Bible study on Sunday mornings prior to worship, and on Wednesday nights we meet together for a time of worship and worship arts electives, which could be anything from band, drama, art or dance. We believe that every teen is gifted in numerous ways and part of our mission is to help teens develop those gifts and use them for greater purposes.
Throughout the year we participate in fun activities, special local service projects, weekend retreats, summer camps and much more. But we don’t believe in making a separate, smaller church out of our youth ministry. We look for ways to help our students make intergenerational connections throughout our congregation. We believe that youth ministry is not just about ministering to teenagers but about partnering with parents in order to impart a deep and abiding faith in the next generation. We hope our youth ministry to be a Bridge to adulthood as our teens grow to be intentional followers of Jesus into adulthood.
