From the Pastor
“Follow me.” That was Jesus’ summons to the earliest believers. “Follow me.” It was an invitation to step into the unknown, an invitation to embark on a glorious and terrifying journey that would transform their lives. It was an invitation to join others who shared the same journey. It was an invitation to grow, learn, serve, and change. At Second Baptist Church in downtown Little Rock, we believe Jesus’ original summons includes us as well. We believe that Jesus continues to call us to follow him into glorious mysteries and downtown shelters, and we are striving to follow him on the journey of faith.

Second Baptist Church is located in downtown Little Rock on the edge of the historic Quapaw District at: 222 East 8th Street on the corner of 8th & Cumberland 6 blocks south of the River Market. Free parking is available on Sundays across from and adjacent to the church.
Driving Directions
- From North Little Rock/Sherwood/Jacksonville/Cabot: I-30 West to the 6th St exit, right on 6th to Cumberland, left on Cumberland to 8th.
- From Southwest Little Rock/Benton/Bryant: I-30 East to the 9th St exit, left on 9th to Rock, right on Rock to 8th, left on 8th one block.
- From West Little Rock: I-630 to Center St exit, left on Center to 9th, right on 9th to Rock, left on Rock to 8th, left on 8th one block.
