In this episode we talk with three former interns about their experiences at Second Baptist. We are excited to welcome back Chris Redmond who served as both a Student intern and Pastoral intern in 2013 & 2014, Michael Huerter who served as a Pastoral Intern in 2019, and Jillian Mitchell who served as a Pastoral intern in 2020. During this National Mentoring Month, we pause to give thanks for the opportunity to mentor and be mentored and to dream about what this might look like in the future.
Michael Huerter was a Pastoral Intern at 2BC in the summer of 2019. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Church Music at Baylor University. Originally from Annville, Pennsylvania, he moved to Waco, Texas to attend George W. Truett Theological Seminary and serves as Music Associate at Calvary Baptist Church in Waco.
Jillian Mitchell was a Pastoral Intern at 2BC in the summer of 2020. Jillian graduated from the University of Oklahoma in December 2021 with degrees in Letters and International Area Studies and a minor in Music. She interned at Second Baptist summer 2020.
