On January 1, 2023 we gave church members star words in worship. This is an annual tradition, a beautiful prayer practice associated with Epiphany. The star word is meant to be a gift, a word to accompany each person throughout the year. Though this word is given at random, with the help of the spirit, it has the ability to help focus intentions throughout the year. A year later we asked members to share how their word had journeyed with them. Below are their reflections.
