Current Small Group Offerings
SMALL GROUPS FOR THE FALL ARE FULL.
PLEASE CHECK BACK FOR OUR SMALL GROUP OFFERINGS IN THE SPRING.
At 2BC, a small group is a sacred space designed for soul care in community. Each group meets over a set period, typically 6–8 weeks, providing a rhythm of connection, growth, and reflection. Our small group leaders have personally experienced the journey of a small group and have completed specialized leader training, equipping them to guide discussions, foster trust, and create a welcoming environment. Small groups offer a chance to explore faith, build relationships, and encounter God in a meaningful, supportive setting.
This fall (2025) we have four small group offerings. Space is limited in each small group.
Enneagram & Relationships, led by Suzanne Cain
Purpose: To strengthen relationships and cultivate greater grace and compassion in our lives. Using Suzanne Stabile’s The Path Between Us, we’ll deepen understanding of the Enneagram as a tool for personal growth, explore how our types influence patterns in relationships, and uncover opportunities for transformation.
Audience: Those who have basic knowledge of the Enneagram and know their particular number, and who want to apply this insight for personal growth and healthier relationships.
When & Where: Sundays (September 28, October 5, 12, 19, 26, & November 12), 5:30–7:30 pm at the home of Suzanne Cain
Book: You will need access to the book, The Path Between Us by Suzanne Stabile.
Faith Narratives, led by Deana Nall
Purpose: To spark creativity and build confidence in writing about faith. Each meeting begins with a fun or thought-provoking prompt, followed by focused writing exercises tailored to the kind of writing participants want to develop. These exercises will culminate in a personal faith narrative that can be shared in the “Author’s Chair” showcase at the final meeting.
Audience: Anyone who enjoys writing and wants to grow more comfortable expressing their faith, even if they don’t always feel confident in their writing skills.
When & Where: Sundays (October 5, 12, 19 & November 2 & 9), 5:00–6:00 pm at Lake Nixon
Materials: Bring a journal, notebook, laptop, or tablet (whatever is most comfortable for writing); writing prompts and guidance will be provided.
Creation & Wonder, led by Chad Nall
Migrations: A Natural History of Love and Loss by Margaret Renkl. As people made from dust, we’ll reflect on shalom—peace with God, peace with others, and peace with creation—through guided time outdoors and intentional journaling.
Audience: Those who feel drawn to green spaces and the beauty of creation, and who want to deepen their connection to God, others, and the natural world.
When & Where: Sundays (October 12, 19, November 2, 9, 16, 23), 5:00–6:00 pm at various outdoor locations
- October 12, Lake Nixon
- October 19, St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church
- November 2, Nature Conservancy on Ranch Rd.
- November 9, Mt. Holly Cemetery
- November 16, Clinton Presidential Park
- November 23, Emerald Park
Materials: Bring a journal to capture reflections and insights from each gathering
Forgiven & Forgiving: the Deep Work of Grace, led by Mark Sanchez
Purpose: To explore forgiveness as both a divine gift and a daily practice. Through scripture reflection, honest conversation, and spiritual practices, we’ll consider how forgiveness transforms our relationships, communities, and lives.
Audience: Anyone who longs to experience the healing power of God’s grace, who may struggle with the giving or receiving of forgiveness, and who wants to grow in the practice of forgiveness—in receiving it, extending it, and living it out.
When & Where: Sundays (September 28, October 5 & 12, November 9 & 16), 4:30–6:00 pm at the home of Mark Sanchez & Hunter Bowen
Materials: A journal and prompts will be provided for weekly reflection.
