The Stone was Rolled Away So We Could See the Miracle

As I worked on this painting, I imagined the despair Jesus’ followers felt after His crucifiction. They had lost all hope. Everything was gone, destroyed. Then the miracle happened, the tomb was empty. Christ had risen from the dead.

Last week’s tornadoes were devastating. People lost everything and  hope was lost. Then I began to see miracles: an extremely small number of people were seriously injured or died during this catastrophic event; a destroyed high school was empty instead of full; people and businesses rushed to help minutes after the tornados hit.
The tomb is empty. God is real. Christ is risen and there is hope for our world. Let’s celebrate the miracles.
